Bourbon review

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked bourbon

The nose to this bourbon is very complex. A concoction of vanilla, toasted marshmallow, oak, and for myself I notice some cinnamon and maple syrup notes. This reminded me of the rolls you get at Texas Roadhouse.

Now the taste of this bourbon is not overpowering at all. I get hints of vanilla and oak with a bit of spice. This bourbon goes down very smooth especially with a 90.4 proof of alcohol.

Finally the finish is not quite lingering but does have a note of walnuts to me. Barely any burn with this finish.

Overall a very fine bourbon for sipping and the nose to this bourbon is very enjoyable.

I would rate this out of 10 7.5 out of 10.
